We made our annual trip to Washington this year at the end of June. As always, we had a great time. The kids were super good in the car (although we did go through 2 portable dvd players-we just can't seem to get one that KEEPS working), we went to the zoo, played with our new cousin Franny and celebrated Talon's birthday. It is always fun to see family and leave normal life for a few days. Here are some pictures from our adventures in the Northwest...
Kaleb and Talon riding in the car.

Coby snacking on an apple. He doesn't like to eat the skin so he eats the apple out of the skin and leaves that for someone else to find. Silly kid!

At the zoo with Nana.

They had a bird exhibit where you could feed the cute little things out of a cup for $1.00. The kids thought that was pretty cool.

Kaleb helping Nana feed the bird.

They had a Jeep (the kids are sitting in it) that was half way through the window at this place. The boys thought it was pretty cool to sit there and watch the animals.

Beating on the tribal drums.

In the middle of the zoo there is this little play set. I'm pretty sure this was their favorite part. We could have sat there for hours and let them play.

At the bug exhibit, one of the workers brought out a giant cockroach. Everyone got to pet it! Kaleb...taking his turn.

Our new cousin Franny is getting SO big. She is now 8 months old and the boys love holding her and playing with her. Here she is with Talon.

While were were in Washington, we celebrated Tal's birthday which is still 2 weeks away, but who's counting. Nana made one of her yummy cakes and Talon enjoyed opening his gifts. Antie Kelly, Uncle Josh, Auntie Bubba and Uncle Ray all came over for the occasion.
Tal's cake!
Opening his card...

In the car on the way home, I kept catching Kaleb in the back playing the Leapster with his goggles on. He is such a silly kid!

Coby playing Peek-a-Boo with his blanket.
