Sheetrock

I can't believe it!!! They have finally started the sheetrock, and not only that, but it has only taken them 4 hours to do more than half of the house. They are so fast. They have almost all of the ceilings done and the top half of all of the walls. Here are some pictures of the progress...

The Door

I have been waiting for a month and a half for this tiny little piece of glass. I really don't care for the doors that have the eyebrow window in them...not my thing, but Josh and I decided that we would like a little bit of light coming in. So, I asked the glass guy if we could do a rectangle plain piece of glass. He said, "no big deal". Then I got thinking one night, that I might not want people to be able to see inside the front door, so he said we could put a piece of decorative glass in between the 2 panes to make it more private. This is the glass I chose, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I absolutely love it!! It's totally different and TOTALLY me!

The whole door. It looks much more put together with the window.

Here is the glass. Frosted with swirl patterns. I love it!!!

Sheetrock Ready

Our house is completely ready for sheetrock. I went to the house on Monday (4/27) and pulled the speaker wire (for a whole house system...music everywhere!) with the help of Bryce. The crew stocked the house with sheetrock on Monday afternoon. Then on Tuesday, I fixed the plant shelf to help Josh out a little. We just needed to add a few 2x2 boards to make it a little thicker going over the hallway. Also, a few weeks ago, Josh and I insulated our interior walls. We wanted the house to be a little more soundproof than what the drywall provides. We are all set for the guys to come put up the sheetrock this week. YAY!!

Looking into the living room. I can't believe ANYONE would be able to carry a 12' piece of this stuff. It is so heavy!

This is a picture of the insulation we did. This picture is looking into the master bath. We insulated just about EVERY interior wall. That will be really nice.

Insulation

We did the NASTIEST insulation ever!! Josh and Tim did our insulation, but it was the gross recycled paper that is very dusty and bitter tasting in your mouth (the dust is bitter...we didn't eat it). We put up netting over the walls and you cut holes in the netting and blew it in with a special machine. It was very GROSS, but it's done!

Josh was SO covered in insulation dust. They had to wear masks and goggles to keep it out of their eyes.

Funny Boys

My boys have been so funny lately. I love how their little personalities seem to come out more and more as each day goes by.  Here are a few pictures of their recent silliness!

Coby with Tal's cowboy hat on. Such a ham!
Kaleb, Coby and Tal. Aunt Hailee always gets the best pictures of the 3 of them.
Talon and Kaleb in their "basketball clothes". If they were girls, these would be their too-too's and high heels. They wear them EVERYDAY!
Kaleb fell asleep one day with a book on his face. Silly guy!
Coby wearing the batman mask. He thought that was pretty great.
Coby, Talon and Kaleb.  Coby with Tal's boots on. He is always bringing those to me so I can put them on his feet. It looks really funny when he crawls with them on.
Kaleb giving Elmo a ride and Talon is pretending he is a soldier. He likes to go down the hall and tell me to say, "Here comes Talon" and then I have to sing a song while he marches around the kitchen. Do you think we've been to a few parades?
Coby wandering around with a pizza box on his head.
The boys got goggles for the pool in their Easter baskets. They were wearing them while they watched The Wiggles on You Tube.
When I brush my teeth, I stand with one hand on my hip (don't know why) and I brush with the other hand. I've always done this. Well, Kaleb is into copying my mannerisms lately, so he is drinking his milk with one hand on his hip. What a cutie!

Easter Activities

We had so much fun this year for Easter, and it just gets better each year as the kids get older. On Saturday morning, we went to Fountain Green for their annual Easter egg hunt. That was a blast. Instead of finding candy eggs, each egg had a number on it and they got money. I guess it's to pay the dentist bill from all of the other candy they get. Then, Saturday night, we colored Easter eggs as a family. And...we of course did the family dinner thing on Sunday. It has been so nice to live close to Josh's parents for that reason. We can get together for holidays and pretty much any other time we want. Doesn't get much better than that...except of course if BOTH sets of Grandparents were close.

Kaleb hunting eggs in Fountain Green.
Aunt Hailee and Grandma (didn't get any pics of Grandma helping Coby hunt eggs, but they picked up $1.05 - way to go!) came with us to help the kids. Hailee and Talon are making a run for some eggs on the baseball diamond.
Aunt Hailee and Talon. Soaking wet from the slush that was falling all morning.
Talon, Me and Kaleb. Cold and wet, but oh so happy.
Talon and Kaleb coloring eggs with Daddy.
Talon, Mollie, Josh and Kaleb. Look what we did!
Here we are Easter Sunday. The easter bunny went simple for us this year...polo shirts for the boys. Coby, Mollie, Talon, Josh and Kaleb.

Hmm...I Wonder??

I was just thinking...maybe this is the reason it takes us so long to get ready in the morning. Oh well, at least the kids enjoy eating breakfast.

Happy 31st Birthday Josh!

Last year when Josh turned 30, we should have had a big shindig. However, Coby was only 3 days old and I just couldn't get something great planned. All year, I've had it in my head to do something for him on his 31st instead. So, I decided a surprise party was in order. I called a few of our close friends and family, made 4 cakes (thanks Mel, Erika and Brittney), got a bucket of ice cream, and had another friend (thanks Cole) get him out of the house and back on time. We were successful. Josh was TOTALLY surprised. We had a blast eating cake and ice cream and visiting. Hopefully this year was much more memorable than last year. Happy Birthday Josh!!! I love you so much!

Josh-the second he walked through the door. He said when he got home he almost turned around and went back to work at the houses because he didn't see his Mom and Dad's car here. Boy, that would have been funny.
Sean, Mandie, Danli, Melanie, Erika, and Chris.
Shannon, Janessa, Brittney and Andalyn.
Kristi, Logan and Lisa.
Tyler, Andrew and Jason.
Lisa, Amberly and Mandie. Thanks Am for taking such GREAT pictures of the party.

Happy 1st Birthday Coby!

Our little Coby turned 1 on March 30th and we can't believe how fast this year went. In a way, it was nice that time went quickly, at least for the first 5 months. Coby was our HARDEST baby by far. From the time he was born until he was 5 months old, if he wasn't eating or sleeping, he was screaming. Then, I started taking herbs that seemed to help him, but as soon as he became mobile, things made a 180 degree turn. He is now our happiest baby. He is always smiling, talking and giggling. He is such a joy to our family (and would be even if he was still screaming). He is walking now and it's fun to see him stand up and walk all over the house.

Here is a picture of our Coby last year on his birthday, only 3 hours old. Baby #3 and still a little miracle from heaven.

Coby and Talon. Tal and Kaleb are so good. They never say a word about not getting presents on another's birthday. They just gladly help open them.
Coby...so happy!
Grandma, Coby and Talon. Opening presents.

Josh and Kaleb. I think they are enjoying the party, except for the fact that Kaleb is sawing logs. He is completely out on Josh's lap. He fell asleep while he was chewing a bite of dinner. Poor guy.

Aunt Hailee and Me.

Uncle Chet and Uncle Matthew. Matthew came into town to spend the weekend with us and help us celebrate Coby's birthday. We love it when he visits!
Grandpa...he's helping get the gifts out of their boxes.
I made Coby his own tiny cake for his special day. He devoured it after we forced the first bite into his mouth. Sometimes we have to do that so he knows that it tastes good. Happy Birthday Buddy!!
